- Search tip 1: In general, the best way to search (here
and elsewhere) is to keep it simple with few words and don't use any accents or diacritical marks. For
best results using the Title search field, use just one or two keywords from the title of the book (make sure the Title field is ticked). For example, to search
for the title, Butterflies of Alberta. Lone Pine Field Guide, just type butterflies in the Title search field.
- Search tip 2: For best results using the Author search field, type the last name of
the author only (make sure the Author field is ticked) and again, don't use any accents or diacritical marks. We have noticed
that quite a few people type something like "Paul+Provencher". If you
prefer to include the two names, do not add the plus (+) sign because
your search result will come up negative.
- Search tip 3: If you are having trouble locating a title using either the Author or Title search fields, try the Keyword search field. The fewer keywords you type the better, for example, to find the above title, just type butterflies in the Keyword search field (make sure the Keyword field is ticked).
